Firmine's story

Firmine H. was born in 1975 in Abomey, a historic town of Bénin. For about twenty years, Firmine has been living with her family in the neighborhood Missèbo in Cotonou, the economic capital of Bénin. Firmine is married to Soulé TIDJANI, a driver, and is the mother of three children all in school.

Thanks to the income from her activity, Firmine is able to help her husband with the family’s expenses. Indeed, Firmine sells purses and fabric at the large Missèbo market in Cotonou. Firmine buys her products from Lomé, the capital of Togo – a neighboring country of Bénin. To meet the high demand of her customers during the year-end holidays, Firmine is requesting a loan from ALIDé.
