A loan of $550 helped to purchase furniture and a power meter and to conduct electronics repairs for his video (movie) showroom.

Mohamed's story

Mohamed M. is 29 years old and single. He lives in Shanzu, Mombasa, where he operates a video showroom. He has been operating the business for three and a half years and mainly targets the youth and school children. He also performs acrobatics and dancing and hopes to make the art thrive both locally and abroad.

Mohamed is borrowing his first loan from KADET, a Kiva partner, and with it plans to purchase better furniture and a power meter and to complete some electronics repairs.

In the future, he intends to acquire a bigger screen and to expand the business premises to accommodate more customers.
