Mariéme's Group's story

These fifteen women live in the same village and are members of the same "banc villageois" which was created in April 2008.
Bintou, standing on the right of the photo and raising her hand, is the representative of the group. She is a 37-year old woman. She is single and other of five children, of which three are girls. Bintou has been developing her banana business for a year now. With this loan, she plans to buy 500kg of bananas to develop her business. She will use the profits of her business to cover her personal expenses and those of her children whilst also boosting her savings.
