Ama's story

Ama is 26 years old. She is married and has given birth to one boy who is in school. She lives with her son and husband in a rented apartment in a busy commercial town called Ejura in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Ama works to support her husband financially to provide for the family. She is a trader. She trades in foodstuffs such as cassava flour. She procures the goods from nearby communities and sells at the local market to food vendors and retailers. Ama also treks to get supplies.

She has been in business for seven years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. She is hopeful to give her child the best education she can afford.
