Jane Wangui's story

Jane is married to Bernard and they have three children: Ian, Mark and Victor. Jane is hardworking and has been selling second-hand items for four years. She was introduced to Kiva partner KADET through existing clients and she has no previous credit history. With her loan, she intends to add to her stock of second-hand furniture and electronics.


Jane's business is strategically placed along a busy road and therefore is able to attract a good number of customers. With the extra profit Jane hopes to make, she plans to furnish her rental rooms, which are her other source of income. One day, Jane hopes to open a stall to sell her goods at market.
