A loan of $350 helped investing in expanding her business.

Horencia's story

Horencia is a very polite woman of 56 who lives with her 3 children: Fátima, age 19; Esteban, age 16; and Ricardo, age 14. She works hard every day to give the best of herself, not only to her family, but also to her customers. For the past eight years, this amiable lady has operated a printing business in her home, offering printing services for various types of tickets, receipts, and all other related items at low prices. She operates the business with her children, who help her when they finish their schoolwork. Horencia is not stopping here, however; she wants to expand her business, offering better service and acquiring modern equipment for her print shop, since, as she says, "it is more convenient to have something printed here than downtown, and the service is the same." She also knows that someday her business will be the best legacy she can leave her children. The tranquil days of this serene woman are filled with printing orders, conversations with customers, and the smell of paper. She knows that her print shop will someday be bigger, and she can almost visualize it; she only needs to give the best of herself in order to achieve it. Horencia has already worked with MFP for some time; this is her ninth loan, which once again will be put to good use as an investment in improving her business. However, she is also thinking about investing in the purchase of some snacks to sell in her shop, since the printing business is not constantly active, and she is always thinking like an entrepreneur.
