A loan of $875 helped purchase beauty products.

Dora's story

Dora is 54 years old. She is a hardworking woman whose greatest wish is to improve her living conditions. She lives with her 5 children who provide her with unconditional support.

Since she was a young woman, Dora has been selling women’s accessories but stopped working when she got married so that she could take care of the household. However, the death of her husband forced her to resume working. She has now been selling cosmetics and clothing for 10 years. Dora takes great joy in her work and provides her customers with quality service.

She considers her line of work to be profitable because she can purchase her products at wholesale through catalogs and then sell them at retail prices. Her future plans include opening a store out of her home where she sells cosmetics and beauty accessories.

This is Dora’s first individual loan with Microfinanzas PRISMA. She was previously a member of a Communal Bank, so she knows that she has to make her payments on time in order to be eligible for future loans and have the opportunity to grow as a businesswoman. With the money she requested, Dora will purchase large quantities of beauty products to sell during the upcoming holiday festivities.
