A loan of $350 helped to purchase toys for the upcoming Christmas season.

Amanda Paulina's story

Amanda is 20 years old. She lives in her partner’s parents’ house with their 3 year-old daughter. Two years ago, Amanda started a business selling clothing and shoes with capital lent to her by her parents. During the Christmas season she also sells toys, which generates additional income for her household. Amanda makes her sales as a door-to-door sales person (she sells merchandise to people in their homes). She is friendly and agreeable toward her customers, so she has been gaining clients who make larger orders of clothing, shoes, and other accessories. The majority of her customers are from the same neighborhood where she lives. She is requesting a loan so she can buy the merchandise that she offers during the Christmas season. Amanda did not finish high school for a variety of reasons. Amanda’s dream is to finish her studies, have her own house, and to have her own business that will generate greater income, which would allow her to have a better quality of life.
