Ramatu's story

Ramatu is twenty-eight years old. She is married and has given birth to four children, all enrolled in school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a busy commercial town called Ejura in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Ramatu works to help her husband financially to provide for the family. She sells all kinds of cereals such as maize, beans, groundnuts, etc. She procures the goods from nearby communities.

Ramatu sells at the local market to food vendors and retailers. She has been in business for fifteen years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. She is hopeful to give her children the best education she can afford.
