Adzaratu is thirty years old. She is married and has given birth to four children, all in school. She lives with her children and husband in a rented apartment in a busy commercial town called Ejura in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Adzaratu works to help her husband financially to provide for the family. She is a petty trader. She trades in all kinds of cereals such as maize, beans, groundnuts, etc. She procures the goods from nearby communities. Adzaratu sells at the local market to food vendors and retailers. She has been in business for over twelve years and wants a loan to procure goods in bulk. She is hopeful to give her children the best education she can afford.
