A loan of $450 helped to purchase a bull.

Gregorio's story

Gregorio is 43 years old and lives with his wife and 4 children in his own home. For the past 20 years he has worked in farming and ranching. He goes out each morning to check on his fields and to watch his crops grow. His main crops are potatoes, olluco (a small, potato-like tuber), barley and wheat, but the most profitable are barley and wheat because they have better prices on the market.
In addition, Gregorio raises cows, sheep and pigs in a place that he fixed up on his land. He sells them every three months once they reach the right weight.
His hope for the future, like all farmers, is to increase production and have more animals.
This is the first time he has asked for a loan from MFP in his own name. Before, his wife was the borrower but both are known in their community bank for being responsible. The loan he requests will be used to buy a bull in order to increase the number of animals he has.
