Tun's story

Tun S. is a 54-year-old retired soldier who lives in Phnom Penh with his wife and two of his children. He typically receives approximately US$1 on account of his military service. His wife, Kong Phalla (pictured), is 44 years old, and she runs a grocery store in the local market. By doing so, she normally earns approximately US$4 of profit per day. Tun and Kong also receive financial support from one of their children, who is a construction worker.

Tun is now requesting a loan in the amount of US$1,000 so that his wife can expand her grocery store.
