A loan of $1,050 helped buy supplies (vegetables, noodles, rice, sugar, milk) for her prepared food business.

María's story

María is a hard-working and dynamic member. She lives in the city of Pucallpa in the Ucayali region. She is 37, and she has two minor children. She sells prepared food; she has a restaurant. She counts on her husband’s help. María has been part of the Mujeres Soñadoras II Communal Bank for four years. Her first loan was for 500 PEN, which she used to buy clothes to sell. Now she needs a loan for 3,000 PEN to buy products (vegetables, noodles, rice, sugar, milk) for her prepared food business. María’s goal is to build rooms to put up for rent.
