Rosula Rosario is a creative and tenacious person who lives in the city of Pucallpa, in the Ucayali region. She is 37 years old and is the mother of 4 minor children. She is engaged in the business of making fabric handbags and jewelry; her small workshop is in her house. She has the support of her husband, who buys and sells wood. She has been a member of the communal bank “Las Perlas de Manantay” for a year. The first loan that she obtained was for 300 soles, which she invested in fabrics. Now she needs a loan of 1200 soles that will be used to buy fabrics, ribbon, thread, and beads to use in making the handbags. Rosula's goal is to have a well-equipped sewing shop where she can offer work to other women.
