A loan of $250 helped purchase ingredients for making bread.

Lilia's story

Lilia is 20 years old and lives at her mother’s house with her husband and their baby. She has been selling bread for 1½ years and distributes her products to major stores in her neighborhood. Every morning, Lilia buys bread directly from a bakery and delivers her products. If she has any leftover inventory, she sells those items on the corner in front of her house.

During this time, Lilia and her husband have been saving money and planning their future. They want to rent a baker’s oven so that they can make their own bread, which would be more profitable for their family.

This is the second time she has taken a loan with MFP. Lilia is very happy that she was approved for another loan cycle and promises to make her payments on time as she did with her previous loan. The money she is requesting will be used to buy supplies and ingredients for making her own bread.
