Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

She sells beauty supplies and she also sells fish (trout) and cheese that her mother sends her from the city of Huancayo. Her husband, who is a boat builder, supports her endeavors. She's been a member of the "Rumbo al Éxito" (Road to Success) communal bank for the past year. Her first 300 sol loan was used to invest in purchasing cheese; now she needs a 1200 sol loan which will be used to buy beauty supplies like creams, talcs, perfumes. Idita's goal is to have a grocery store and to continue to make progress.
