A loan helped to purchase fabrics and materials in bulk to expand her business.

Fatima's story

Fatima is 27 years old and lives with her husband and child in Savelugu District, Ghana. She is a seamstress and is requesting a loan to purchase fabrics and materials in bulk to expand her business. She plans to use the profit she earns to pay for her child’s education and reinvest in the business.

To repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan, she volunteers as a Camfed Peer Educator to lead life skills sessions for students in schools on topics such as 'my rights my choices,' 'choosing your career path,' and 'active citizenship.' Fatima's dream is to own the best and largest dressmaking business in Savelugu District.
