A loan helped to buy cocoyams, bananas and plantains.

Alice's story

She is married and blessed with five children who live with her in a three-bedroom apartment in Mile Three, North West Region of Cameroon. She has faced some challenges in life such as theft at her business site that brought her business to a ground level, an accident and the death of her brother.

She has been a GHAPE member for 16 years now and has taken and successfully repaid seven loans.

With the new loan requested, she plans to stock her store with various foodstuffs such as plantains, cocoyams and bananas. She has a positive attitude that the business will succeed because she has been into petty trading for several years.

Her activity will help the community since she will sell to them at relatively lower prices and her products are basic necessities. She also buys from far off villages and resells at lower prices

With the profit, she plans to educate her children and buy a plot to eventually build her house.

She prefers getting a loan from GHAPE because the interest rate is lower.

This loan is special because:

It is coupled with multi-faceted trainings to support the poorest in Cameroon.
