A loan of $300 helped to buy cloths and basins.

Olohountognin Séraphine's story

Olohountognin Séraphine O. was born in 1979 in Zoukpa in Porto-Novo, the administrative capital of Benin, where she has lived all her life. She is married with Jérôme Kounou, a welder, and the mother of two children who attend school. Olohountognin Séraphine lives alone with her children and provides alone for them.

Olohountognin Séraphine has been selling cloths and basins for ten years. She gets her supplies from Dantokpa, the international market of Benin. She had so far two loans from Alidé, which she repaid on schedule. Since she wants to increase her inventory and expand her clientele, with the aim to better provide for her two children, she came again to Alidé and applied for a third loan.
