Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Anahid Ysabel's Group's story

Anahid is 23 years old, is not yet married, and lives in her family’s house with her parents and her 3 siblings. Two years ago, she started a business selling fast foods, such as hamburgers, pizzas, and some deserts. She just recently started selling shoes. Anahid tends to her business with warmth and friendliness, and because of this her customers return to her establishment almost daily. The requested loan is for the purchase of ingredients and shoes, since the months when she sells the most are approaching. Going into business allowed her to pay for her biology studies, which resulted in her graduation from the San Luís Gonzaga de Ica national university. She is currently studying business administration at night at another institution. Anahid’s dream is to have a career and to have her own business selling fast food and a business selling shoes. She has had experience with credit at CMAC Ica, with loans that she repaid without problems.
