A loan of $2,675 helped a member purchase merchandise, supplies, and raw materials.

Flor De Azucena Group's story

Forty year old Brígida Fernández gets up very early two times a week to purchase goods in Desaguadero because the prices are lower. She sells plastic goods such as swimwear, containers, plates, cups, and other goods. She has been in this business for 12 years. At the start it was difficult to get the business off the ground, but little by little it has been generating income that permits her to grow and improve the business. With this same enthusiasm, today she needs another loan to continue buying goods, specifically plastic containers. Brígida has belonged to the Pro Mujer family for 9 years, but for various reasons her group has changed. Currently and for the last 2 years she is in the Flor de Azucena group. This group holds its meetings in the Centro Focal Panamericana.

Just like Brígida, the other members of the group have different businesses such as selling vegetables, dry foods, sewing skirts and aprons, and weaving blankets.

All the members of this group need the loan to buy merchandise, supplies, and raw materials.

In this group: Brigida, Jorge Luis, Dorotea, Lorenza, Lucia, Benita, Flora, Felisa, Tiburcia, Enriqueta, Monica Graciela
