A loan of $4,250 helped a member buy merchandise and raw material.

25 De Julio Group's story

When Concepción M. got married she learned how to weave rugs from her husband. This business enabled her four children to get ahead. She has a small shop in her house. When she has enough products her husband sells them in the city of La Paz. She now needs a new loan to buy wool, thread, and yarn. These are the raw materials she uses to make the rugs. She has worked with Pro Mujer for approximately seven years. Above all, she likes the consultation services that they offer. The other members of the 25 de Julio group, which belongs to the German Busch community center, also have businesses like making “polleras” (skirts), weaving articles of clothing, working in a bookstore, and selling toys and clothes. They need the loan to buy raw material and merchandise.
