A loan helped to buy three dairy cows to increase livestock headcount and organic milk sales.

Aliyat's story

Aliyat is 33 years old, married, and has a school-aged son. Aliyat has a secondary education. Since 2009, she has been earning a primary income for her family through farming and animal husbandry. Thanks to her diligent work and the help of her husband, Aliyat currently has 11 cows, 25 sheep and two horses on her farm, as well as a farmland allotment of 0.35 hectares where she grows beans. Aliyat has a contract to supply milk to a local production plant. This enables her to continuously invest in her agriculture business. Having learned that she could take out a loan from Bai Tushum Bank on the security of future contracts, according to the "value-added chain" principle, she applied for a loan of 150,000 som (KGS) to purchase three dairy cows to increase her livestock headcount and milk sales. The payments from the factory are transferred directly to Aliyat's account, and loan repayments will be automatically deducted from her bank account. The income from this loan will help Aliyat increase her livestock headcount in the future and will improve her family's material well-being.
