A loan of $250 helped to buy sacks of rice, cans of oil and crates of eggs for resale.

Sister's story

Sister K. was born about 1969 and has lived in the Cadjehoun quarter of Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin for the last 11 years. She is divorced and is the mother and responsible for four school aged children. Sister lives alone with her children and is solely responsible for the needs of the family. She did not have the opportunity to attend school and has been selling and distributing rice, eggs, and vegetable oil for the last ten years.

Sister buys her supplies in Dantokpa, the international market in Benin. She has already made two loans with ALIde, which have been duly repaid. To strengthen her business operating funds, and better meet the needs of both her customers and her children, Sister is requesting this third ALIde loan.
