A loan helped with maintenance on a school building through extensive construction.

Saira's story

Saira is 29 years old and has been running her school for six years. She has 427 enrolled students, 45% of them female. Her aim is to reduce the level of illiteracy in her area and she doesn't want children in her community to lose out on getting an education.

She has requested 200,000 PKR for maintenance on the school building through extensive construction. The school also needs furniture.

It is Saira’s hope that once these renovations are done, dropouts will decrease and she will be able to upgrade her school to secondary level by the end of next year.
