A loan of $375 helped to purchase wool.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda is 27 years old and lives in her own home with her 6 year-old son, Jefferson. She is a hard-working mother who, thanks to what she learned as a young girl, is today able to take care of household expenses. She knits sweaters, mittens, shawls, etc., an activity which she enjoys very much and that lets her imagination take flight with each garment she produces. With each garment she pays attention to every detail to make sure it is finished in an ideal manner. Besides, this work allows her to be independent. However, she must work practically all day, which is very tiring but Yolanda is very dedicated and works hard to accomplish her tasks in the best manner possible.
She wants in the future to become involved in a new kind of enterprise and is thinking of buying clothing and footwear to sell in other cities but this would require her to travel frequently.
This is her second loan with MFP and she has always been characterized by being very punctual with her repayments. With these funds she intends to buy large quantities of wool and other materials needed for her knitting and, if possible, a knitting machine.
