A loan of $725 helped purchase merchandise to expand her inventory.

Dina's story

Dina is a 43 year old woman with 2 sons, Andrei (age 23) and Luis Ángel (age 4). She lives with her partner Ángel, who is 42 years old and a construction worker.

For three years, Dina has managed a small bookstore out of her home. She says she started this business because there was no other bookstore nearby and thought it would be very profitable since she would not have any competition. Dina also sells other products from the same retail space. She enjoys her work because it allows her to be independent. In addition, she can work out of the comfort of her own home and spend time with her children who still need her.

In the future, Dina wants to have a larger store that is stocked with various products to offer. She intends to have more space so that she can sell groceries and toiletries such as soaps and toothpastes, as well as detergents and other items. By expanding her business, Dina hopes she can meet the needs of her customers.

This is her second loan with MFP. Dina enjoys being part of her Communal Bank because she thinks it is a trustworthy and responsible group. With the money she is requesting, she will purchase stationery for her bookstore and other products to complement and expand her business.
