A loan helped to buy 2 sewing machines, 1 overlock machine and fabric which will improve her families income.

Elizabeth's story

Elizabeth and her husband Ariel live in Cochabamba. They have been together in a civil partnership for more than 5 years. They have a son who is in school. Elizabeth makes a living from making garments including skirts and blouses. Her husband works in public passenger transportation. Their combined income means they are able to provide for the family. Elizabeth has always been very enterprising however that she lacked the funds necessary to succeed. She has a certificate confirming her attendance on a garment making course to fall back on. She now has a great incentive to expand her small workshop by purchasing more machines and the cash to buy fabric. At the moment she has plenty of customers and only one machine which is inadequate. This loan gives her an opportunity to be successful. This is why she has applied for a loan to buy 2 sewing machines,an overlock machine and cash to buy fabric. Elizabeth and her husband feel very happy to have the chance to get access to funds. This will generate more income thereby benefiting the well- being of their family.
