Guerreiras Abençoadas Group's story

The Guerreiras Abençoadas group has been a client of the Banco do Povo Crédito Solidário (BPCS) for one year and is made up of four women who all sell their products door-to-door. They live in the Maua community of Sao Paulo.

Valquiria is the group's leader. She is not married and has two children. She supports her household with her work and seeks a better future for her family. Valquiria sells her products on the streets of the community, and with the help of the investors she will buy water, peanuts, and snacks. She is very dedicated to her work, and in the future she plans to buy her own house; she is currently a renter.

Maria sells lingerie sets and Maria Jose makes "cocadas" [coconut candy] that she sells door-to-door. Renata sells lingerie and is also a manicurist. The entire loan will be used to invest in merchandise for working capital. The borrowers are grateful to the investors.
