A loan helped a member to buy baby fish to raise.

Muong Phang 103 Group's story

The woman who smiles brightly and stands at the first from the right is Dai, a strong widow who lives with her 22-year-old son in a small house in a emote area.

Her husband passed away more than 10 years years ago. Her adult son and her adult daughter are married and live apart from her.

Since she was alone in caring for her children, she has tried her best to earn money for them to live on. Most of her income is from agricultural production such as growing rice, raising fish, buffalo and poultry. Because of her own difficult situation, she could not attend school when she was young.

The main hardship of her family is the lack of capital and lack of modern technique in raising animals which frequently get some diseases and die (especially the chickens).

Recently, she has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em program to buy baby fish. She hopes that those fish will grow up healthily and quickly to bring her great profit.

With the profit, she will expand her farming.

She dreams that her son will marry a nice girl and her family will always be full of warmth and happiness.
