Tawa is 32 years old and married with three children aged 2 to 15 years old with educational levels of 4th through 8th grade. She is illiterate due to poverty. She and her family lives on the Red Hill Field in Virginia, a newly built community for poor people who can't afford to buy a town lots. It is located north of Monrovia, the capital of Liberia.

Tawa's business is selling cigarettes, matches, peppermint candies, chewing gum, candles, biscuits (cookies), etc. She buys them wholesale and sells retail to residents on a table beside her home. She has been running this business for eight years. She sells good products and talks to customers with a good manner in order to encourage them to continue buying from her.

Tawa face difficulties during the rainy season because when it rains, no business goes on because she doesn't have shelter for her business. She needs this loan in order to purchase more goods to sell.

Tawa hopes to establish a shop in the future. She dreams of improving the living standard of herself and her family and building another house for them.
