A loan of $1,075 helped buy plastics and tassels.

Lidia's story

Lidia belongs to Los Rosales Communal Bank in the San José de Sisa district, Dorado province, San Martín department. She is 39, in a common law marriage, and has three children who are still dependent upon her.

Lidia sells notions, tassels, and clothing merchandise. She has been doing this for 13 years. She started with 1,500 PEN. Little by little her business has been growing. Now she is a great entrepreneur who runs her own business without relying on anyone else. She currently continues with the same business in her neighborhood. She is very well known by her customers, and her daily sales are very good.

With this loan for 3,000 PEN she will buy merchandise like clothes, shoes, sandals, and slippers for women, men, and children. She will also buy plastic, pots, plates, and medicines.

Lidia is a fighter and a hard-working woman. Each day she gets up with a lot of desire to get ahead for her family’s well being. She is grateful to the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for allowing her to grow as an entrepreneur and as a woman, and for also supporting other women who want to get ahead.
