A loan helped a member to purchase compost and gas for her rice farming.

Samak Group's story

Samak is 47 years old, living with her husband and three children in a village in the Prey Veng province of Cambodia. She has cultivated rice to make a profit since 1989, while her husband has been a construction worker. Her family income is also aided by two of her children who are construction workers. Their family income is around 11 US dollars per day.

Samak appears on the right in the photo of a group of two members asking for a loan with Kredit. She is going to use her share of the loan to purchase compost and gas for her rice farming. This purchase will help her to boost her rice output and increase her family's profits.
