Intachables Group's story

The members of the "Intachables" (Impeccable) Community Bank are represented by Mrs. Victoria and made up of 12 members, all of whom are women who live near the shacks of the Pirai River. They help one another and have known each other for many years. They all have different types of businesses, such as sales of fruit or cosmetics, some sell food to the men who work on the river, some sell soft drinks or clothing, and some work in public transportation. Since competition is very fierce these days, the women use their loan money in order to increase their production capacity or increase their stock of products. The members are completing their second loan cycle and have demonstrated punctuality and a will to help their families get ahead and to give them a better quality of life.
