The Lord Is The Owner is a group of five borrowers led by Theresa D.. She is 56 years old and married with five children between the ages of 20 and 38. The children's educational levels are between 10th grade and university graduate. Theresa herself is illiterate due to poverty. Theresa and her family live in a newly built community located north of the capital, Monrovia, in Liberia. The homes are for poor people who can't afford to buy a lot in town.


Theresa's business is selling charcoal. She buys charcoal wholesale and resells it at retail prices to residents of Virginia, north of the capital, Monrovia, Liberia. She has been running this business for six years and hopes to establish a general store in the future. Theresa sells quality charcoal and talks to her customers in a friendly way in order to encourage them to continue buying from her.


Theresa needs this loan in order to purchase more charcoal to fill her customers' needs. She dreams of educating her children and improving her family's standard of living.
