A loan of $875 helped increase her inventory of DVDs.

Fiorella's story

Fiorella is 19 years old and a hardworking and cheerful young woman. She lives at home with her parents and is predisposed to working hard as a means of getting ahead. Fiorella sells movies, concerts, documentaries, cartoons, and other forms of entertainment on DVD. She brings her merchandise to all the local fairs near the city of Juliaca for sale to customers. She knows there is great demand and is capable of covering a larger market.

What Fiorella enjoys most about her job is the ability to decide when and when not to work because she also has to complete her studies. She has been in business for 2 years and the most difficult part is having to travel and carry her box of DVDs to the different fairs. In the future, she would like to open a video store so that she can generate better earnings.

This is Fiorella’s second loan with MFP. She is willing to make her payments on time because she does not want to cause problems for the other members of her Communal Bank, where she is an active participant. With her loan of 2500 soles, she will buy more DVDs so that she can offer her customers a greater variety.
