A loan of $1,050 helped buy regional cold meats.

Juana Julia's story

Juana is a very happy and hard-working person. She lives in the city of Pucallpa in the Ucayali region. She has four grown children.

She buys and sells cold meat, sausages, and “cecina” (a smoked cured meat). Juana takes these products to the city of Lima to sell at different markets.

She has been a member of the La Positiva Communal Bank for eight years. Her first loan was for 300 soles, which she used to buy pork to later sell in the markets.

She now needs a loan for 3,000 PEN to be able to buy cold meats and sell them to her customers.

Juana’s dream is to have a store where she can offer her products and to continue working to get ahead.
