Chhun's story

Chhun M., 36, is married with two school-aged children. She resides in Battambong Province, Cambodia with her husband (pictured) and children. To make a living, she is engaged in a business of selling grilled beef and boiled duck eggs by commuting everywhere in the town, earning an income of US $5 per day in revenue. Her husband operates his motor taxi in the town and local markets, earning an income of US $2.50 per day.

This couple tries to work hard every day to ensure good living for their children and family. M. is seeking to improve her business, so she is asking for a loan of US$ 1000 to purchase a trailer and various kinds of meatballs to expand her business. By doing so, she hopes she will be able to generate more income to keep investing in her business and save the more money for future household use.
