Barikisu's story

Barikisu is 45, married and blessed with six children. In her restaurant, she prepares and sells local foods like "fufu" and "banku” and has been in business for the last five years. Fufu is prepared from pounded cassava and plantain, and eaten with all kinds of soup. Banku is prepared from milled maize grains and is eaten with hot peppers or soup. She says that the prices of raw materials have gone up significantly and she needs a loan to enable her to meet her production expenditures.
