A loan of $525 helped pay for motorcar repairs & purchase clothing for resale.

Doris's story

Doris is 30 years old and the mother of three children. The two oldest are students while the youngest is still a baby. She lives with her husband and they work together in harmony. She owns a motorcar, but she also sells clothing at different places in her neighborhood. The work schedule that she has established for herself is from 6am to 6pm. While her husband uses the motorcar to transport passengers, Doris is responsible for managing the income he generates.

Doris has been involved in her business activities for 4 years and what she enjoys most about her job is the feeling that she is a useful member of society. In addition, she likes that her businesses provide stability for her household finances.

Doris is taking her 3rd loan with MFP. She enjoys working with her Communal Bank because all the members make their payments on time and work together to resolve any problems. With the money she requested, Doris will have the motorcar repaired. She anticipates the cost will be 500 soles, so she will use the remainder to buy more clothes to sell.
