A loan of $1,050 helped buying fertilizer.

Valeriana's story

Valeriana is 50 years old and lives with her husband and children in her own house. She has worked in agriculture since she was young, primarily growing alfalfa. Alfalfa is one of her most profitable plants since she can sell it to major farms in her area as it is used for animal feed. Valeriana also grows other crops that allow her to obtain additional income to pay for household costs. Additionally, she breeds animals, feeding them well for a few months before selling them for a higher price. Valeriana has major goals of getting ahead in life. For that reason she is planting on more areas on her land to increase overall production. This is her seventh time getting a loan with MFP. She has a strong desire to continue being part of the community bank, which is why she reasserts her promise to be punctual with her payments. The money that she is asking for will be invested in buying sacks of fertilizer and seeds for the next growing season.
