A loan helped her to buy a solar system for her house so that her family has hot water year-round, especially in winter.

Nahla's story

Nahla is a 48-year-old refugee who lives with her family in Khan Younis, the Gaza Strip. She is the mother of four adorable children and tries hard to raise them in the best conditions and meet all of their needs. Her husband works in the public sector where he earns a low income that is barely enough to cover the basic needs of the family. Nahla has come to Palestine for Credit and Development (FATEN) to request a US-dollar loan to buy a solar system for her house so that the family has hot water throughout the year, especially in the winter. She and her family are grateful for the support of Kiva lenders.
