A loan of $1,150 helped to restock drugs needed by the local community.

Jeffrey's story

Jeffrey is 49 years old and married with two children. He is the provider for eight dependents including several extended family members. His son and his daughter, aged 19 and 22 years respectively, live in Bo (the second largest town in Sierra Leone) with Jeffrey and his wife. His daughter is a college graduate. His son attends high school and is planning to attend university upon graduation.

To help supplement his income and support his family, Jeffery, an experienced accountant, left his job on a study leave for 2 years to open a pharmacy. Although Jeffery has recently obtained another accounting job at a local firm, he continues to manage the pharmacy where he employs one person. The neatly kept pharmacy is located in a residential area of Bo.

With this loan, Jeffery plans to restock drugs needed by the local community and to provide for his family.
