Souleymane's story

Mr. Souleymane S. is 30 years old, married and the father of 2 children. He lives with his wife and children in theTorakabougou neighborhood of Bougouni town (third administrative region of the Republic of Mali). Having been unschooled, he began very quickly economic activities such as daily masonry work, farm work and herdsman. Given his advancing age, he thinks of having a stable and sustainable business. So, he decided to run the business of buying and selling of various store items that he learned from his elder brother. With a five-year experience, Mr. Souleymane S. controls well his business that he operates cheerfully. After having repaid correctly the previous loan, he is on his second individual loan which he intends to use to buy various important items for his store in order to attract, please and maintain customers. He gets his supplies in Bamako ( the capital of the Republic of Mali) and retails cash down and on credit to his customers comprised of all the local people. With this loan, Mr. Souleymane S. intends to make a monthly profit of 87000FCFA. With this profit, he plans to expand his store and buy a house.
