Daisy's story

Daisy P. is from the village of Malibangcao Clarin Misamis Occidental. She is 32 years old and married with 6 school-aged children. To make a living, Daisy owns and operates a specialized maize retail store. The main source of income for the business comes from selling corn in the local community. Daisy has been engaged in her business for over 15 years and earns approximately 8,000 PHP a month from these activities.

In 2009, Daisy joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Daisy is requesting a new loan of 6,000 PHP which will be used to invest in expanding the business. This loan will be the first loan taken out by Daisy from GDMPC and she plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve the general living conditions of her family.
