Elijah's story

Elijah is a 38 year old businessman who runs a water supply business in Kayaba part of Mukuru slums. He also owns rental units in the same area. He has been selling water for a period of five years and previously owned a grocery. He is requesting a loan of Kes. 50,000 to buy a water tank and a water pump. A father of four, Elijah hopes to own rental units and on a personal level, he hopes to buy his family a home away from the slums. He describes himself as social and generous.
