A loan of $550 helped to purchase some raw materials and vegetables to improve her inventory and enlarge her business.

Fatima's story

Fatima is a 47-year-old Lebanese married woman who is blessed with three children, one of which is still attending school. She cooperates with her husband to fulfil the family needs and ensure her kids have better standards of living.

Her husband is a farmer that cultivates different kinds of fruits and vegetables. As for her, she started her homemade food business seven years ago, from her home, to support her husband financially. She prepares all kinds of provisions such as pickles, olives, oil, jams and fresh syrup, and sells them to the neighbors and the local markets.

Lately her selling has increased since we are very close to the winter season and the fact that she is well known in the area. This is because she makes high-quality homemade food and provisions, in a hygienic manner, and in accordance with the tastes of her customers. However, her inventory isn’t large enough to fulfil all of her clients demands. Therefore, she is requesting a loan from Kiva partner, Vitas s.a.l., to purchase some raw materials and vegetables to improve her inventory and enlarge her business.

Fatima is awaiting your help to achieve her dream and open a well equipped restaurant.
