A loan helped to buy flours, eggs, yeasts, molds, etc. for her bakery.

Nancy Maribel's story

The city of Portoviejo, known as the City of Royal Tamarinds was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016. It is located in the Portoviejo River Valley and is rich in the production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Nancy is 50 years old. She is in a common-law relationship and has three children. Two are independent adults and one is 15 years old and attends school. Her spouse is a baker. They live in their own home.

Nancy has had a bakery for more than 11 years. Her spouse helps her with the work and they have three assistants for the bakery. They work every day, from 5:00 am until noon, and from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm. They pay rent for the premises.

With this new loan she will buy flours, eggs, yeasts, molds, etc. She likes the loans because the payments are every two weeks.

Her dream is to have a place of her own and that she continues growing her business.
