A loan of $600 helped working capital.

Douglas Ernesto's story

Douglas Ernesto Gutiérrez M., 45, is married and has three minor children. He sells used clothing and shoes from his home. Douglas started the business ten years ago. Before he started the business in his house, he traveled to Río San Juan to distribute his products as a street vendor. Also, he had people there that he knew. He would leave the products with them and return in 15 days after they had sold the merchandise. But, this made him very tired. Little by little he was establishing himself, and he was able to set up the business in his house. That is where it currently is. The loan is to buy various clothing and footwear, which he plans to sell from his home. He has a well established client base. His dream is to establish another store in the market, which can lead to greater income than he currently has.
