Anatalia's story

Anatalia A., 55 and the married mother of six adult-aged children, is from the village of Katipunan, Sinacaban Misamis Occidental. To make a living, Anatalia owns and operates a specialized "sari-sari" retail store that sells daily use products such as shampoo, soap and toothpaste in the local community. Anatalia has been engaged in her business for over 20 years and earns approximately 8,000.00 PHP a month.

In 2007, Anatalia joined GDMPC to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Having fully repaid a previous loan of 20,000 PHP from GDMPC that was used to purchase additional products to sell, she is now requesting a new loan, her sixth, of 30,000 PHP to expand her product line. Anatalia plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand her enterprise.
